Covid Protocols
Recently the Centers for Disease Control released updated recommendations.
Please keep in mind these recommendations and guidelines can and will change upon the receipt of new information.
We expect cases of COVID in our communities as well as in our schools and plan to keep our students and staff safe by continuing the preventative measures that helped us successfully navigate last semester. These preventative measures include:
Wearing of masks (optional at this time)
Social distancing
Weekly covid testing
Handwashing and respiratory etiquette
Cleaning and maintaining healthy facilities
Contact tracing in combination with isolation and quarantine.
Please take note of the following:
There will be no initial health screenings required to enter our school.
Group sizes are no longer prescribed in terms of a number, however consideration of maximizing distancing is still recommended.
A response to confirmed positive cases within a school or school-related activity will include contact tracing and quarantining.
Vaccinated individuals will not be required to quarantine due to contact tracing as long as they are asymptomatic. Unvaccinated asymptomatic individuals will be required to quarantine for 5 days
Frequent hand washing and sanitizing will continue to be encouraged.
Partitions are not required to separate groups indoors.
We are looking forward to a healthy and safe second semester. Covid is a formidable opponent but the Thrive Academy Family is even more formidable; especially when we are all joined together in the common purposes of education, enrichment and caring for each other as we care for ourselves. Geaux Bulldogs!
